Personnel Team – Role and Responsibility
The Personnel Team is responsible for the care, support, and oversight of all employees at Crosspoint Church. This includes ensuring that staff are equipped, supported, and aligned with the mission, values, and operational standards of the organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversight of all Human Resources functions
- Administration of employee benefits and support programs
- Leadership of onboarding and orientation processes for new staff
- Ongoing coaching, development, and employee support
- Guidance on performance management and employee relations
- Ensuring compliance with employment policies and procedures
The Personnel Team exists to create a healthy, aligned, and well-supported staff culture across all areas of Crosspoint Church.
Scope of Responsibility
- Responsible for all employees across Crosspoint Church, including campuses, ministries, and operational departments
- Provides centralized HR leadership and consistency in people-related processes
Ministry-Specific Boards
- In cases where a ministry operates under a separate governing board with its own HR structure (such as the Crosspoint Counseling Center Board), that board may oversee day-to-day HR functions within that ministry
- However, the Personnel Team remains a key partner and point of alignment
Collaboration and Oversight
- Ministry boards (including the Crosspoint Counseling Center Board) should engage the Personnel Team when:
- There are deviations from standard operating procedures
- Guidance is needed on HR best practices or policy interpretation
- Alignment with broader Crosspoint standards is required
This ensures consistency, legal protection, and organizational unity while still allowing ministry-specific boards to function effectively.
Guiding Principle
People are one of the most important resources at Crosspoint Church. The Personnel Team exists to support, develop, and care for staff while ensuring that all employment practices reflect excellence, integrity, and alignment with the mission.
