Fundraising Guidelines

At Crosspoint Church, we intentionally limit fundraising efforts. Our ministry model is built on the faithful generosity of our congregation through tithes and offerings, which fully support the mission and ongoing operations of the church.

Guiding Principle

We do not rely on fundraising as a primary means of financial support. Our focus remains on stewardship, trust, and consistent giving as an act of worship.

Expectations for Ministries

  • Ministries should avoid organizing or promoting fundraising activities.
  • Financial needs should be planned and managed within approved budgets.
  • If additional funding is needed, ministries should follow the budget adjustment process rather than initiating fundraising efforts.

Exceptions

In rare cases where fundraising may be considered (e.g., specific mission trips or unique ministry opportunities), the following must occur:

  • Clear communication must be provided to participants and donors.
  • Approval must be obtained through appropriate leadership channels.
  • Fundraising efforts must align with the overall mission and values of Crosspoint.

Why This Matters

  • Reinforces a culture of generosity and trust within the church body
  • Maintains consistency and simplicity in financial operations
  • Prevents donor fatigue and competing financial asks
  • Keeps the focus on ministry, not money-driven initiatives
