Digital Payment Platforms (Venmo, Cash App, Paypal, etc.)
Crosspoint Church does not accept payments or donations through third-party peer-to-peer platforms such as Venmo, Cash App, PayPal (personal), Zelle, or similar applications.
Approved Payment Methods Include:
- Online giving platform (official church system)
- Credit/debit cards through approved processors
- Checks
- Cash (handled according to cash handling procedures)
Why This Guideline Exists:
- Ensures proper financial controls and accountability
- Maintains accurate donor records for giving statements
- Protects against fraud, loss, and misallocation of funds
- Keeps all transactions within auditable systems
Important:
Staff and ministry leaders should never request or accept funds through personal accounts or unapproved platforms on behalf of Crosspoint Church.
Any exceptions must be reviewed and approved by the Finance Team.
