Certificates of Insurance (COI) (For Church Events Off Property and Rentals)

If your ministry event is offsite (not on Crosspoint property) or if your campus is renting space or equipment, you will likely need a Certificate of Insurance (COI). This COI confirms our insurance coverage.

When It’s Needed

  • Offsite events or meetings
  • Using facilities not owned by Crosspoint
  • Equipment rentals (non-vehicle) (lifts, forklifts, blowers, etc.)

If it’s not our property, assume a COI is required.

What to Do

1. Gather Information

  • Company name, address, phone
  • Event date and time
  • Event agreement (including insurance requirements)

2. Submit Request

  • Send details to Director of Operations

Timing

  • Submit at least 1 week in advance
  • Processing takes 2–3 business days

Examples Ministries would need COI:

  • Small group hosting an official pool party at a private residence
  • Long-term property leases (e.g., schools, office space)
  • Rental of construction or specialty equipment
